An outstanding opportunity has arisen with our market leading client based in Manchester for an IT Support Manager to be pivotal in the company’s growth and success.  The role is a new role created to assist the business in dealing with the ever increasing demand for technical and non technical support of it’s innovative product to an ever increasing base of clients. The continued growth of the business requires an individual with drive and ambition to join the exiting and hard working environment they operate in. As such the world is your oyster in this role – taking the support function and making it your own.

Ideally you will be from a software house background with a solid understanding of a typical support function as well as a grounding knowledge in development. Specific technologies are not essential – Java and SQL knowledge would be very helpful though.  The actual support function that you will be in charge of developing will include 1st, 2nd and 3rd line – but understand that at the moment the team is not huge but the processes need to be put in place are essential. The Support Manager role is therefore one of cohesiveness, bringing the customers, internal and external stakeholders together in a structured manner. Initially you will be hands on in all areas of support – Creating Goals, KPI’s,Procedures etc.
