IT Support Technician - Circa £22k + Benefits Package. Birmingham. West Midlands. Permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading international organisation. They are seeking to recruit an experienced IT Support Technician to assist in supporting their Desktop Environment, IT Systems and Infrastructure and CISCO Phone System.
TECHNICAL SKILLS / IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN:
- MS Office 2007/2010 to advanced level.
- Understanding PC hardware and MS Operating Systems - Vista, Windows 7.
- Use of Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience of using Service Desk Software in a previous role.
- An understanding of TCPIP Networking and Switches.
- The ability to follow set policies and procedures.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
- Have the willingness and the enthusiasm to learn new technologies.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have a friendly and approachable manner.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Customer focused combined with excellent Customer Service skills.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
Knowledge of Hardware monitoring tools.
VMware virtual environment monitoring tools.
Knowledge of Cisco Phone systems.
