Our client in Mayfield Village, OH is currently seeking a IT Systems Engineer Ld for a 12 month contract opening.

Systems Engineer Leads with strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership and communication skills are needed to consult on, plan, implement and support projects engineering associated with deploying new ITSM functionality and providing tool and infrastructure engineering for existing deployments. This role requires a strong balance of technical and business skills. Engineering an effective and supportable ITSM environment requires Business, Applications/Systems and Operations understanding in order to leverage the tools to drive business value.

Additional Info:
• There’s a separate process team that works with business customers and IT app dev teams to establish the process associated with the implementation of Remedy/ITSM within the application based on the business-process flow and requirements. Therefore, this is not a “process definition” role.
• The Remedy Production Engineering Team takes the defined process and translates it to the actual Remedy/ITSM implementation/deployment. They architect how the tool will work in production. There’s a fine line here – they’re not leading the process definition, but have to know what’s possible within the tool and make recommendations for tweaking the process. Need to be savvy enough to understand the business reason, but consult to have changes made to the process so the tool can work most efficiently.
• On occasion, they may need to work with the app dev teams and possibly the business customers if the requirements cannot be supported cleanly in the tool set.
• Leadership skills in the context of this role require strong communications, negotiation, collaboration, and influence. However, this is not a manager role – leadership does not require directly managing teams or people. Require excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to build strong relationships with vendors, clients, co-workers; able to interface with all levels of management. For example, candidates must be able to express issues like this:
o What: Start by explaining what the problem is…...
o Impact: What is the business impact of the problem (i.e. why should we care?) Anticipate questions and concerns people will have.
o Options: What specific options exist to address the problem and what are you doing about moving forward on these options?
