IT SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

Primary Duties ? Work with business teams and IT peers, utilizing PMI and Agile project management methodologies, to develop solutions that support the growth and usage of our Commercial Real Estate applications, data warehouse, data analytics and reporting environment. ? Work closely with multiple vendors. Manage change control process and ensure continuity of service. ? Work with larger Investments IT Data Warehouse team to identify areas for collaboration and architectural synergies while evolving Business Intelligence capabilities for Commercial Real Estate ? Responsible to ensure all development activities follow Genworth guidelines including technical and functional test plans, adherence to established change control procedures, documentation requirements, and adoption of Genworth design and coding standards Required Qualifications ? Bachelors degree in a CS, MIS or related discipline ? Up to 5 years IT experience in software development, with demonstrated progression. ? Exposure to relational database concepts ? Strong communication skills (written verbal), and Team player ? Ability to quickly learn new systems and business processes ? Exposure to or working knowledge in the design and development of ETL ? Exposure to project management methodologies, deliverables, and approaches. ? Interest in or exposure to Finance, Investments, Portfolio Management and/or Capital Markets ? Experience translating functional business requirements to technical specifications ? Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute on assigned deliverables Desired Qualifications ? 2 years experience in supporting Investments, finance, and/or Insurance industry related fields ? Experience in all phases of software development lifecycle. ? Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, or Financial Services products, securities and portfolio management ? Experience with Oracle, Business Objects, Informatica, or Java ? Experience working in a matrix and distributed environments
