IT Technical Business Analyst Job in Pittsfield, Massachusetts US
Purpose/Objective:
Designs and documents workflow and make recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness. Analyzes business trends as well as business issues and provides support and proposed solutions. This position also plays a support role in the testing and diagnosing application issues. The Technical Business Analyst is also required to manage internal business relationships, understand business processes, and relate business needs to technical solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
Analyzes business issues and data challenges. Identifies strengths and weaknesses and effectively communicates areas of improvement and recommended solutions. Documents functional specification and project scoping documentation. Assists system users in analyzing individual reporting needs; writes customized reports for user base. Resolves issues and monitors production reports to help troubleshoot applications.
Develops and/or maintains applications, ETL, user interfaces, databases or database applications. Performs analysis and works with the other IT teams to determine interdependencies of processes, applications and technologies. Diagnoses and tests application issues. Develops application requirements based on business requirements from clients and technical requirements from other IT teams.
Works with the IT sub-teams on applications issues, upgrades and projects. Effectively communicates requirements and more detailed functional specifications.
Provides reporting expertise using various tools to supplement standard report sets. Supports SQL, Sharepoint, and other reporting/analytical tools. Supports the Bank Intranet.
Provides core support for systems sustaining major lines of business. Facilitates required system adjustments through a structured development, test, and deployment process.
Assists in managing third party interfaces to ensure these interfaces are configured correctly. Monitors and adjusts configuration of interfaces as needed.
