IT Technical Services Engineer (Aurora, CO)
Summary:
Lead, coordinates and supports effort to optimize performance in a multiple architecture environment. The focus of this position will be in the end-user services space optimizing the end-user experience. This position will work with a team of technicians that is responsible for managing the desktop OS, software distribution and Level 3 support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned complex and/or long-term engineering projects within budget and schedule guidelines.
- Integrate and schematically depict complete architecture for communications, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling systems
- Evaluate new products.
- Perform infrastructure problem resolution and assist in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications
- Monitor protocol compatibility and perform systems tuning and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for moderately complex systems, as well as, in planning, architecture design, and engineering.
- Coordinates, execute, assess, and support programs and applications.
- Understand the technical and business aspects of creating and/or modifying an effective strategic technology plan.
- Initiatives change/improvement to the architecture as the business or technical requirements change.
- Advises senior management on issues as they pertain to larger organizational issues/business initiatives.
- Demonstrates broad experience and knowledge in application architecture for complex, cross-functional applications.
- Maintain Active Directory structure to support role-base provisioning and printer/drive mappings.
- Assist in the development of long term strategy for desktop hardware and software.
- Introduce improvements in process or products that improve the end-user experience and reduce the call volume to the Help Desk.
Education:
- Degree and 5-7 years experience
Experience:
- 5 - 7 yrs
- Microsoft Certifications
Skills:
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of principles, concepts, and theories in own discipline, and has extensive knowledge of principles and concepts in other functions.
- Demonstrates advanced business knowledge and analyses the impact of emerging industry technology trends.
- Able to contribute to the strategic direction of the function.
- Understands the technical and business aspects of creating and/or modifying an effective strategic technology plan.
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Experience with Microsoft ILM/FIM preferred.
