Key Purpose:

Our Client is seeking an experienced team lead to work within the Product Development team, leading a solution focused team who manage the operation of their product within Pre-Production and Production Environments. The key goal of this team is to resolve 90% of P1 and P2 customer production issues and taking the follow up actions to ensure issues do not re-occur.

This team also has responsibility for signing off on the operational capabilities ahead of a customer go-live. 

 Key Result Areas:

·         Provide Technical and day to day leadership to the Operations team

·         Hands-on problem management and resolution

·         Product setup and control of Pre-Production and Production environments within their hosted facility. This includes

o   Initial application setups

o   Application upgrades (large and small)

o   Pre go-live and post go-live

·         Sets up environment monitors and application monitors

·         Assists QA team in executing Product Load Testing and analyses system performance

·         Defines product enhancements required to aid operational success

·         Ownership of Customer Production P1 and P2 issues

·         Responsible for problem analysis and resolution of Customer Production P1 and P2 issues within SLA times

·         Owns RCA of Customer Production P1 and P2 issues and assignment of follow up actions

·         Responsible for all customer and internal communications on Customer Production P1 and P2 issues

·         Responsible for handling alerts raised from system  monitors

·         Works on P3 P4 issues as assigned by Support Manager

·         Owns Environment documentation

·         Training and working with non-hosted customers to ensure they successfully manage all the above

Skills/Experience Required

·         5+ years experience in leading a Support/Operational Team

·         Problem Analysis

·         Issue Management and Resolution

·         Linux administration skills

·         Experience with managing java based applications

·         Experience with management of critical production 24*7 systems.

·         Good understanding of web applications and connectivity.

·         Performance troubleshooting

·         Understanding of JVM

·         Understanding of Oracle

·         Understanding of Java/Web technology (J2EE/JSP)

·         Experience of application servers:  Jboss/Apache/Tomcat

·         Quick learner

·         Strong communication skills.
