IT Technology Support
Job Summary
Provides leadership and supervisor of technology support efforts at the individual Art Institute level. Coordinates the technology support, acquisition and implementation activities of the institute. Actively participates in the growth of the Art Institute's technology skill and knowledge base. Incumbent must assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Key Job Elements
- Manage the daily operational and support of educational, Macintosh and Microsoft and administrative computing technology.
- Maintain lab and facilities to ensure maximum availability for student utilization.
- Manage activities of the computer labs and technology staff, including budget, staffing and training plans.
- Support and maintain Macintosh and Microsoft technology.
- Implement beta-testing of selected hardware with the assistance of the Central Services Systems staff. Implement beta-testing of selected software with the assistance of the CS Systems staff.
- Support technology training plans for faculty and staff.
- Provide clear communications regarding the status of technology support within the Art Institute for local and CS Education staff, as well as CS Systems staff.
- Travel, as required, to meet with Center Services Systems Technology Staff or to other Art Institutes as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Sr. Desktop Analyst
Interacts With:
Central Services Systems staff, school staff, faculty and student populations.
Job Requirements
Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field required.
- Five or more years of solid experience with hardware, software and affiliated technology issues with special emphasis in technology management preferably in a post-secondary institution.
- Three or more years of strong expertise with art/technology field related hardware and software packages as well as significant PC AND Macintosh experience.
- Three or more years of field-related experience in LAN administration, including significant experience in a Microsoft environment.
- Three or more years experience with imaging software for MAC and PC
- A+ certification strongly preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with both faculty and student populations.
- Superior organization, prioritization, self-motivation, and problem resolution skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions.
- Ability to interact effectively as either a leader or as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Ability to listen to customers (e.g. students, staff, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests
- Ability to work without close supervision and to set one's own priorities and work schedule.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
