Position Description:
Under direction of a Principal, participate in the implementation of a vocational program that provides students with knowledge and technical skills related to information technology and management systems. Assist in the development and implementation of an information technology and management curriculum that enables students to demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers and applications, including concepts related to hardware, software, and connectivity; responsible use of technology and an understanding of ethics and safety issues in using electronic media; and an ability to use technology for research, problem solving, and communication. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree and knowledge in field of designated assignment or subject (such as early childhood education, vocational training, computer science, etc.) required. Previous experience working in education and/or with program specific population of children highly desirable. Massachusetts Educator Licensure required. Licensure as a vocational teacher is preferred; provisional certification can be offered to qualified candidates with a plan in place for attaining certification.
