ITU NUrse
Hays Healthcare is currently looking for Full and Part Time ITU Staff Nurses to work on the ITU Department at a prestigious NHS Hospital based Bedford.
As an ITU Nurse you will be assessing a patient’s condition; planning and implementing patient care plans; treating wounds and providing advanced life support; ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly; administering intravenous fluids and medications
Ordering diagnostic tests and responding to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment.
To be successful for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- At least 6 months current UK clinical experience.
- The ability to adapt to different hospital environments.
- Able to work under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
- Time management and effective delegation skills.
- Relevant critical care course and teaching course
Whilst liver experience is advantageous, is not essential, the main focus is having critical care skills and experience.
