J. P. Morgan Asset Management Proprietary Strategies (JPS) Group:
On 1 October 2011, the Investment Bank's credit proprietary trading team was transitioned into a newly created alternative investment group (called JPS) within J.P.Morgan Asset Management's (JPMAM)
Fixed Income group.
The focus is on relative value trading opportunities in the credit markets and credit market dislocations. The team has a strong track record within the Investment Bank and is structured to combine the agility of a hedge fund platform with strong institutional support.
Their JPS Credit Opportunities Fund was launched on Monday 3rd October 2011 and aims to grow rapidly over the coming months.

JPS is seeking a high quality investor relations person to work on our JPS Credit Opportunities Fund, as well as the subsequent funds that are due to launch in 2012.

Ideal candidates ought to have experience with at least one of the following:Hedge fund sales and investor relations supportAsset Management/Private Bank distribution, ideally with JPMorganCredit products and derivativesThe role is for a fulltime person based in the City.
Role scope and responsibilities can be flexible or evolve over time.
Ideally, the role would include:Capital raising through the JPMorgan Asset Management distribution channelsDirect sales, including working in conjunction with strategic groups and capital introduction teamsInvestor relations matters (such as onboarding administration, DDQs, ongoing investor communications)Strategic input into the development and structuring of new fundsAdditional background:

Qualifications
The preferred candidate ideally should have the following
experience:
Hedge fund sales or capital introduction
Preferential to also have experience of JPMAM or credit derivativesFSA registered ideallyProven
