Position Description  J2EE Developer

The Developer will be responsible for Analysis, Design, Coding and Unit Testing for modules in the credit loss management area. Focus of work will center around the creation of a new applications or enhancements to existing credit loss applications. Construction tasks are the focus of responsibilities which also include documenting designs, code reviews and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

 Lead and develop new applications and enhance functionality for legacy applications.

 Develop application components and be involved in analysis, design, development, and testing.

 Promote technical recommendations clearly and in a manner that ensures proper understanding by both business and technical staff.

 Ensure team/self-develop and/or follow strict corporate and industry best practices development processes.

 Document high level and detailed level designs.

 Collaborate with other groups to identify upstream/downstream changes in existing applications, services or infrastructure components needed to support Credit Loss Management.

 Create new and/or where appropriate follow existing design patterns.

 Host detailed code walkthroughs with internal and external developers, testers, business team, and management.

Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

 6-8 year experience in design and development of J2EE server side components using various J2EE technologies like EJB, Spring and Hibernate

 Working knowledge of J2EE UI technologies like JSP, Servlets, Struts (validation framework)

 Experience using JMockit and JUnit for unit testing components

 Experience writing stored procedures

 Knowledge of Oracle 10g

 Exposure to development and deployment with WebLogic 9

 Experience using Ant and CVS

 Working knowledge of WebServices

 Experience using Eclipse

Nice to Have Skills:

 Knowledge of Swing is very beneficial

 Knowledge of Autosys

 Experience writing PL/SQL

 Knowledge of DOORS

 Log4J, Clover, Cruise Control
