Harrington Starr is working with a Global Exchange based in London City who are looking to hire a Java J2SE, with Oracle Development Engineer to join their London operations. These are a global exchange offering a range of services across the global to a range of financial trading institutions from investment banks to hedge funds and asset management firms.
You will be joining the middle and back office team building the matching and reconciliation and data's integration services. You must have extensive development experience using Java J2SE, Oracle (Java, JDBC, Oracle, J2SE, OOP, Multi Threading, J2SE) You will have a solid development background and have worked the full development lifecycle including testing. You will be working with the business so strong written and verbal communication will be essential for this role. Any financial services knowledge or experience would also be beneficial. Key Technical Skills
* Strong development experience using Java
* Strong development experience using Java using J2SE V6
* Extensive experience of Oracle, 9g, 10g
* Knowledge and experience with OOP, Multi threading,
* Financial industry experience with SWIFT, FIX, FIX, or any post trade services.
* Financial product knowledge of equities, derivatives, reconciliations and reporting would be very advantageous.
