POSITION DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
· To supervise the work activities of the janitorial personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· Associates Degree in business management, high school diploma or GED with some leadership work experience.
Experience/Background/Knowledge
- Carpet cleaning equipment – Carpet shampooers, carpet steamers
- Floor polishers – Floor polishing equipment and power floor buffers
- Hand sprayers – spray bottles
· 2-3 years of leadership experience in an automotive environment preferred.
· Computer Skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience includes document processing, spreadsheets, presentations and emailing.
· Interpersonal Skills – The individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
· Oral Communication – The individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills, conducts meetings and on the telephone.
- English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
· Written Communication – The individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
· Planning/Organizing – The individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
· Adaptability – The individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Physical Demands
· 75% of Time – Walking, standing, climbing stairs to get to various offices/conference rooms within facility.
· 25% of Time – Sitting at desk doing paperwork or working on the computer for extended periods of time.
· Occasionally lifting – boxes/documents – up to 30 pounds.
Working Conditions
· Factory environment, primarily inside in well-lighted, well ventilated areas.
Travel
· Minimal domestic travel required, normally by automobile to various company sites, to attend meetings, training, etc., as needed.
