Japanese Equities – Hedge Fund

An expansive West London-based Equity Hedge Fund with an Absolute Return and Long Short strategy focus is looking to bring a fundamental bottom-up Equity Analyst with a focus on the Japanese stocks to join their highly skilled team. 

 
Candidates will be expected to add value from day one and so a seasoned experience within the Japanese Equity space is essential and only Equity Analysts currently in a buyside role will be considered.
 
The fund have seen steady progression even in stifling market conditions for Asian Hedge Funds in 2012 and are opening this mandate to bring a Senior Equity Analyst/Junior Portfolio Manager and add value to their stock-picking team in their Pan-Asian Fund by leading the Japanese Equity Analysis.

The right candidate should apply if they meet the following criteria: 

 
-Buyside experienced:  more than 3 years of experience within an Equity Hedge Fund or Asset Manager

-Japan Equity expertise: Have covered pan-Asian Equities including Japan, or having specialised in this market using a fundamental and bottom-up approach

- Stable record of equity employment showing a clear progression of responsibility.

- Capable of writing concise and logically argued research reports in a timely manner, sometimes to tight deadlines.

-  A decisive stock selector in order to be comfortable making decisions using fundamental research and presenting to the fund’s Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
