Description:
• Converts specifications about business problems into programming instructions for mobile sites/applications.
• Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests; revises as necessary.
• Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large scale system.
• Maintains records to document program development and revisions.
• Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
• Provides technical support to technical vendor resources
• Candidate will follow the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and client’s change management process.
• The ideal candidate will need to have strong technical, analytical and communication skills.
• Ideal candidate will also have the ability to analyze problems and drive business and IT teams to resolution.
• Interface with business to help design optimal mobile user interface.
• As appropriate; designs and codes business process models; designs and codes business rules and algorithms.
• Mentor more junior staff.
• Reviews work products from team and vendor consultants.
• May act as program/technical lead on multi-project activities.
• Provides technical analytical support and guidance to project team members.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of Java Development experience including 3 years of experience developing applications for mobile devices and developing applications that interface with mobile device clients on various mobile platforms.
• Experience on iOS and Android platforms is a must
• Experience on Blackberry and Windows mobile platforms is a plus
• Java Certification is a plus.
• Must be proficient in SDLC processes
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite including MS Project and Visio tools.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with IT and business individuals and teams at all organizational levels.
• Must be a self-directed and highly motivated with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be a good team player.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills along with relationship building abilities
• eBusiness experience a major plus
