Java Application and Integration Architect Job in Lenexa, Kansas US


We are seeking a Java Application Integration Architect for our growing Technology Engineering Architecture Center of Excellence (COE) team. The successful candidate will serve as an expert in defining reference architectures, technology standards, and shared development platform architecture in alignment with business requirements and technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities include:

-Create reference architectures for integration and application stack technologies
-Define technology standards based on business needs, technology strategy, reference architectures,
current state application portfolios and technology market trends
-Take responsibility for common platform architecture and accompanying documentation in alignment with the established future state vision, architectural best practices and technology standards/policies
-Work with assigned development teams to apply standards and reference architectures to product/solution architectures
-Champion and evangelize defined technology engineering processes
-Work across team, group and business boundaries to drive commonality and reusability in solutions to real-world problems
-Deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time and on budget

Required Qualifications:

-Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of 8 years of full-lifecycle application development experience with Java web application
technologies
-Minimum of 3 years of software architecture experience
-Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration
-Hands on implementation experience with Jboss Application Server and the Java Spring framework
-Strong working knowledge of SOA concepts, as well as, demonstratable SOA implementation experience
with at least one of the following: Spring Integration, Mule, Websphere (ESB or Message Broker)

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience architecting commercial software solutions with the following:
Software-as-a-Service
On-premise (Shrink Wrap) deployment models
Multi-tenancy
Open Source software
Transaction Processing (EDI, HL7, XML)
Real-time messaging
Integration of custom-built and third-party applications

-Experience creating architectures in alignment with the following:
Design patterns/reference architectures
Corporate security policies and industry regulations
Agile development

-Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems,
languages, and computing platforms
-Healthcare industry experience
