Java Architect Job in Jersey City, New Jersey Us

Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dynamic and talented technical leader in charge of creating and developing API platform. The right candidate will be a web services expert that can design, code, and evangelize the use of web services and APIs both within our client’s company and for their clients.
Skills:
· 10+ years software development experience in java
· 5+ years of engineering team management experience
· BS or MS in Computer Science, or comparable experience
· 8+ years of experience working in a distributed systems software architecture environment, supporting the highest levels of scale and availability.
· Advanced knowledge / experience in SOA and Web Services (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON).
· Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the design and implementation of security standards and patterns with focus on 3rd party authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth.
· Work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Must have a strong track-record of building fast, reliable, large, multi-threaded, scalable, service-oriented web services
· Strong understanding and extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, deploying and managing standards-based, inter-operable, public facing, high performing and scalable enterprise web services.
Duties
· Responsible for the design and implementation of APIs supporting new user experiences for applications in various channels including web and mobile.
· Partner with the business and technology organizations to identify, plan and manage delivery of APIs.
· Work closely with our enterprise development teams to drive development, adoption, and use of APIs internally.
· Set the standards and conventions for our API platform in terms of version management, URL patterns, best practices, etc.
· Establish a roadmap for APIs and their use at BBH. Understand what is required to define, design, and implement new APIs for internal and external consumption.
· Define and design an extendible architecture for web services which will support rapid, agile development- for our enterprise development teams
· Experience in application ownership and life-cycle management of enterprise web services and APIs and supporting technologies and platforms (targeted for partner / 3rd party consumption).
· Understands challenges with developer uptake and use of an API program. Able to design APIs built for adoption and support the development community as needed to make the API program successful.
