Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Trading Software Architect to join our high profile client.
Our client is the world leader in Commodities trading and risk management software.
The backbone to this role is change management and development progression ,the client is looking to increase the quality of their products and bring their name to the top of the market. They are fairly close anyway but they are looking to change their product to allow it to self perpetuate.
Their current pipeline has a number of exciting new products and individuals who have a real interest in software development and financial services have a unique opportunity to influence future development.
This is a senior level role reporting to the CEO and the CTO and responsibility lies across not only architecture and code development but product development and future strategy. Further details can be discussed on application.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for
- Responsible for the architecture of current and all new pipeline projects
- Ownership of the product road map
- Translate broad vision provided by senior management for clients and the company into executable plans for action.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with client services managers and directly with clients
Candidates must have
- Strong Java architecture experience
- Serious server-side architecture experience
- Hands on experience of software development and the development life-cycle
- (10 years +) of achieving results in a software development or related technology area in the banking or software sector with responsibility for a large development group
- Hands on exposure to Java-Linux-Oracle technology stack
- Experience with Java databases
- Concurrency
- Clustering
- Linux
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and modify programs, informational support systems, and processes
- Ability to develop and implement strategic business and operating plans
- Russian Speaking would be an advantage
Candidates should have had experience across the DSLC and ideally experience of distributed applications via the SAAS deployment model.
