Enthusiastic engineer being sought for excellent internship opportunity with a global leader in financial services. The ideal candidate has solid Java programming skills and a passion for testing software for Client Server applications. The QA Intern will be responsible for writing system test cases utilizing existing JUnit for testing FX (Foreign Exchange) products for the company. This individual will work closely with the QA Manager and Project Leads in the identification of critical flows in our application for automation candidates.
- Rising seniors or seniors graduating in fall pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Completed Coursework in – CS 61B, CS 162, CS 170 (Algorithms) and preferably CS 186 (DataBase)
- Working knowledge of Java, JUnit Framework and a Java IDE (Eclipse preferred)
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting and analysis skills
- Good understanding of SDLC, including specification, design, implementation, testing and release
- Experience with Oracle and SQL databases
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating system. Must be comfortable using standard UNIX utilities
- Self-motivated, dynamic, organized and responsible team player who is able to work independently to produce results
- Experience with Web Services and/or Perl programming is a plus
