Position Description
The secured funding application development team at Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced server-side Java developer to join the team in London. They will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of developing Java applications for investment banks/hedge funds; taking high-level requirements, turning them into a working application and then deploying that application.
They will be working on a high-profile project to build a new in-house collateral system, that will optimize the use of the firm's global inventory of collateral across all locations and asset classes.
They must demonstrate a strong track record of developing applications for investment banks/ hedge funds.
Experience of repo, securities lending or collateral management, whilst not required, will be desirable and the candidate will be expected to build an understanding of the business model
Skills Required
Strong Knowledge of Java, primarily within server-side development on Unix/Linx.
Good understanding of multi-threaded Java programming.
Spring
Experience using relational databases (SQL)
Proven ability to deliver high-quality software working in multi-person teams
Skills Desired
Understanding of repo, securities lending or collateral management
