My client is a leading global proprietary trading firm, home to less than 100 employees in Amsterdam, Singapore and North America. The firm has a fantastic reputation in market making space, with a heavy focus on cutting edge and innovative technology. Following a year of great profits and a continued emphasis on attracting top talent to the Amsterdam team, the firm is seeking a solid java developer, ideally with prior financial experience to take a key role on the front office team. Your role will involve designing, developing and supporting a range of front office applications across sales, trading, risk, predominantly in java. You will work closely with other technologists and communicate directly with the front office trading team. It is important that you have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, performance driven environment. Compensation will be competitive, with excellent bonus potential. The client is open to seeing candidates from all locations and those without financial experience will be considered if they can demonstrate a strong interest in the space.

• Design cutting edge front office trading-sales-risk applications in java
• Work closely with other technologists on the team in Amsterdam
• Gather requirements from traders
• Developer ad hoc applications-tools to support traders
