Java Developer
Experienced Java Developer required for an exciting contract opportunity with a leading global Investment Bank based in London.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality solutions on all levels (analysis, development testing) in a complex application environment, leveraging resources within and outside the team as necessary
- Strong team player with sense of ownership and initiative
- Adhere to SDLC practices
- Use of OOAD UML in a highly collaborative environment
- Maintain a focus on quality, attention to detail, communication and delivery to tight timescales
Basic Qualifications
- Strong experience in Java
- J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, SOA working experience required
- Strong OO development background.
- Knowledge and experience developing with relational databases (SQL, Sybase/DB2)
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix
- Knowledge of Business Process Management tools is a plus.
- Familiar with SDLC tools
- Strong problem solving/analytical skills required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required to work with the global team
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial industry background and specifically exposure to Back Office processing (asset servicing, tax, reconciliations, securities segregation) will be an advantage
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Fitnesse and Team City
- Experience in Spring and Hibernate
