Java Developer- Commodities recruitment
Our client is a leading global financial institution. This role is situated in a Global Physical commodity technology team. The environment is technology driven and the development of algorithms and trading software are used to create a competitive market.
Responsibilities of the role:
The candidate will be focused on the development, enhancement and support of the Commodities trading applications, and will work closely with global team on the design, implementation, testing and deployment of enhancements and new applications. The position requires excellent theoretical and practical Java/C# knowledge and a strong OO understanding.
Requirements of the role:
The candidate must be a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player with passion for building rich user interface applications and an extensive use of tiered technology.
Skills Required:
- Superior technical skills- UNIX and Linux, using Java, C#, C++ and Perl.
- Expertise in core Java and experienced in server side programming in a multi-tier environment
- Good understanding of OO AD
- Knowledge of XML and related technologies
- RDBMS and SQL knowledge
- Candidate must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effecting reading/writing communication skills in English
- Experience of working in distributed teams across time zones
