Java Developer (Finance, J2EE, Websphere, Oracle, SQL, PHP, UNIX) recruitment

The successful Java Developer (Finance, J2EE, Websphere, Oracle, SQL, PHP, UNIX) will be:

• Interfacing closely with the business and architecture teams to ensure high level delivery

• Translating needs and requirements in to solid, manageable technical requirements

• Contributing to the production of end to end system technical designs

• Making impact assessments for product changes

• Reviewing test strategies

• Maintaining and delivering on the highest coding standards

• Deliver work on time and to budget

This is primarily a development role, you will be given a high level of responsibility throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that the projects are delivered satisfactorily. This role will give you plenty of responsibility and there is a real track record, and a lot of scope for career progression within the institution.

The Skills required for the Java Developer (Finance, J2EE, Websphere, Oracle, SQL, PHP, UNIX) role include:

• Software development within the following languages / technologies

-          JMS / MQ

-          Webservices

-          XML

-          Application servers esp. Websphere

-          Databases (Oracle, SQL, DB2)

-          Version control software (Clearcase)

-          J2EE frameworks (Hibernate, struts)

• Development methodology experience; Waterfall, agile etc.

• Project management methodology experience is also useful  (RUP, CMMi, Prince 2)
