Java Developer, Hedge Fund recruitment
Responsibilities
- Participate in the entire software design lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support
- Take part in greenfield development of real-time monitoring and automated financial reporting applications
- Ensure consistent delivery of software releases and hand-over to end-users
- Work along-side the existing ecosystem of latency-sensitive in-house and commercial trading technologies
- Work in close collaboration with a small and dynamic team of top technologists, scientists, traders as well as external stakeholders
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience, preferably in the finance industry
- BA or MS Degree in Computer Science or related degrees
- Strong core Java skills, Hibernate, any of Spring, Wicket or GWT
- Experience in web development is highly regarded
- Operational knowledge of C++, Python, MySQL, Bash scripting, Linux
- Exposure to software engineering tools, methodologies, concepts, design patterns
- Basic understanding of trading operations or technologies (desirable)
- Mathematically-inclined mind with an analytical approach to problem solving
- Ambitious, self-motivated, resourceful technology enthusiast
- Strong proficiency in English is crucial.
