COOK is a global company with a global focus - and a global future. Primary Function The Java Developer designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Essential Job Functions/ Duties * Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing * Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation * Provides long term application upgrades on the corporate level system * Performs a variety of tasks * Maintain regular and punctual attendance * Maintain accurate and timely reports and records * Must strictly adhere to safety requirements * Must maintain company quality standards * Must work effectively with and for others to achieve company goals Minimum Work Experience/ Educational Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline * Master's degree is a plus * 2-4 years of Java Software development experience * Experience using Java fluently, including Tomcat and WebLogic Application Servers, JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, struts, oracle10g * Effective communication skills, problem solving and teamwork * Experience working in a large system integration environment * Experience with long-term application upgrades for a corporate level system * Experience maintaining accurate and thorough documentation * Experience working independently in a creative environment Physical Requirements/ Work Environment * General office conditions * Sitting for long periods of time * Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment Our Benefits Base Salary Teamwork bonus 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match Profit sharing Medical, dental, and vision Life insurance Paid time off Flexible spending account Educational assistance/reimbursement Cook is an Equal Opportunity Employer
