My client, due to massive recent growth and expansion, are seeking to add several more Java Developers to their existing team of developers.
You will be responsible for developing my client’s online services and ensuring all aspects are running to the required performance levels. This is a “hands on” roll where your technical knowledge will be pushed to the limits to enable you to grow and develop further in the field of Java development.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
· Researching, designing, writing and testing new software programs
· Developing existing systems by analysing and identifying areas of modification.
· Maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects.
· Investigating new technologies
· Perform coding to written technical specifications.
· Investigate, analyse and document reported defects.
· Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
· Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
Skills / Attributes Required
- At least 2 years computer programming experience with expert knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML and performance tuning
- A 2:1 pass in an IT related discipline.
- Knowledge of database architecture and design
- Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.
- Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines.
