My client requires the assistance of  2 Java Developers to develop an interface via Web Services to the “client app” front-end application. This is necessary as part of the “client”  initiative.  Currently two “client applications” do not have any direct communication with the “client application”.  

 

The work schedule is as follows:

*Design Phase - Includes creation of technical design documentation.

*Development Phase - Includes creation of application and unit test plan by developer.  Developer will also be responsible for execution of unit test plan.

*Testing Phase - Includes execution of integration test plan.

 

Responsibilities:

•           Develop new applications or make enhancements according to project needs.

•           Work closely with the Business and application teams to gather Business, System requirements and project objectives.

•           Analyzes the business requirements and develop Technical Design Documents by identifying the technical services required for developing the application.

•           Assist in determining time estimates for assigned projects.

•           Plan, coordinate and execute project activities to ensure timely completion.

•           Utilize programming principles, tools, and techniques to write application codes.

•           Develops backend Java utility services using J2EE frameworks.

•           Design and develops application features using Java 1.5, EJBs, Spring DAO web services, REST, SOAP, JAXB, XML, XSD and Design patterns.

•           Perform code reviews to identify basic technical and logical errors.

•           Executes build and deploy scripts to deploy the application in required environments.

•           Develop test plans/scenarios for various stages of testing including Integrated Unit and User Acceptance testing.

•           Tracks the issues reported by testers/application users and fix them in given time frame.

•           Schedule meetings with development team to discuss about project status and issues.

•           Utilizes the following tools for above daily tasks: Weblogic 9.2 and Nexaweb 5.0, SQL Developer, Star team, and power term; eclipse IDE, ANT, cruise control and Log4j under Windows-XP, UNIX environments.

•           Work experience utilizing experience in Core Java and J2EE technologies.

•           Strong knowledge in application frameworks like struts, Spring, Hibernate and webservices.

 

Duration:  6 Months+ (The project will get extended)
