My client is a pioneering and award winning technology leader. They have created a new generation of financial trading systems by using technology as their primary business driver - their exchange and trading platform is designed to be ultra low latency, transaction intensive and provide traders with the most efficient, pioneering and user friendly experience for real time trading.

Essentially they are looking for true technology enthusiasts from a Java background - those who passionately believe in the value they can add as a software developer. Experience using or adding to Opensource technologies would be ideal, if not a burning desire to solve the most complex problems and add opinion to the Java community. Agile experience is also particularly sought after. This is a unique opportunity to work in an incredibly sharp but laid back environment using cutting edge Java technologies to build applications for their high distributed, low latency trading exchange system. You will work on multiple Greenfield projects and genuinely add value to the company and their success. In return you will have a huge amount of technical freedom, the opportunity to work one of the best Java development teams in the City and break new ground as pioneers in the industry.

The ideal candidates will be at junior, mid and senior level with some of the following key skills:

-Genuinely passionate technologist with experience of Java programming
-Opensource and Agile experience would be particularly sought after
-Experience working on high performance, highly scalable/distributed systems
-GWT, RDBMS
-Top Tier Academics

Candidates with experience of working in a UNIX/Linux environment, as well as multi-threading are highly desirable. The successful candidate will have knowledge of messaging and middleware and ideally have an understanding of order/execution management systems.
