JAVA Developer recruitment
Looking for a Sr. Java Developer that will support and extend clearing and settlement applications required to support various business units (their Clearing/Settlement platform) for U.S. and Europe. This consultant will have frequent interaction with software developers and product managers to ensure delivery of quality to users / members.
- the consultant will develop Java-based J2EE applications including design/ implementation of new architecture and applications;
- will work in a team with business and QA analysts to ensure system capacity, performance and failure recovery architecture including design and execution of non-functional tests;
- require the candidate to have at east 5 years exposure to financial sector; (preferably in back-office trade functions for a major Exchange or Clearing participant or Clearinghouse)
- they would like this consultant to mentor developers on the existing team and provide architectural guidance for clearing systems including: margining, risk management, position management, asset management, and electronic banking (SWIFT).
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years as Sr. Java or J2EE developer (preferably on one or more large, highly transactional systems deployed and used in production;
- strong working knowledge is required in each of the following: Java, J2EE, Java Servlets, JSP, JMS, JDBC and distributed computing;
- strong working knowledge of messaging middleware, OO design concepts and design patterns;
- strong proficiency with database development concepts (SQL, PL/SQL, views, etc);
TECHNOLOGY PREFERENCES:
- working knowledge in any of the following preferred: Adobe Flex, Flex Remoting - BlazeDS, Spring MVC, JBoss, IBM MQ;
- experience with Open-Source Technologies required(e.g.: Hibernate, iBATIS, Jakarta Commons, Spring Framework, Spring, JUnit, Eclipse, JMX, Ant);
- experience with security packages such as JAAS, SSL, JNDI/LDAP, etc., a plus;
- familiarity with RUP and/or Agile development processes a plus;
