Responsibilities:
- Member of an agile software development team working on the serviceability aspects of IP portfolio.
- Supporting best-in-class software development processes to design, create, integrate, and verify complex operational software, focused on delivering data, voice, and video services.
- Drives module design, coding, debugging and documentation for application and systems level programming.
- Ensures software meets specified performance, scalability and reliability requirements.
- Plans and modifies network components supporting communication implementation activities.
- Supports customer and account teams in clarifying business and design requirements.
- Presents technical information clearly and in an appropriate style based on audience.
- Assumes scrum master responsibilities on occasion.
- Contributes to documentation that allows others to maintain code or receive technical and knowledge transfer.
- Incorporates solutions into overall design through assessment and prioritization of business, technical and user constraints.
- Contributes actively in team activities by sharing experiences and ideas.
- Participates in an evolving software development process.
- Comfortable in a global environment, collaborating with product managers, peer software engineers, contractors, SV engineers, and internal stakeholders, possibly executive leadership.
Preferred Profile:
- BE/ME degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Certifications highly favored.
- 2 years programming experience in Java.
- Experience in UI Development using AJAX, JSP, Struts, JSF.
- Should have experience working with Oracle or MS SQL Server data sources.
- Should be very good at Core Java features like Concurrency, Multi-Threading, Collections Framework, RMI.
- Experience in EJB, SOAP/REST using Apache Axis, SpringWS (Spring Web Services) desirable.
- Strong oral and verbal English knowledge
- Should possess solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Should have very good analytical problem solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of creating, running, and analyzing usability tests.
- Proficient in the design and implementation of modern web application architectures and the selection of leading, industry standard technologies.
- Experience in Agile development (Agile/Scrum/Kanban) desirable.
- Experience with Atlassian Collaboration and Software Development Suite desirable.
- Strong commitment to delivering well-structured, well-commented and test-driven code that is easy to maintain.
- Self-starter able to work well in new and undefined environments.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
