Java Developer–Security Clearance Job in Richmond 23225, Virginia Us

Our client is currently looking for multiple Java Developers for a project with a federal government agency. The company provides professional services and solutions in the areas of defense, intelligence, homeland security and IT modernization and government transformation.

Job Description:
The Java Developers will be involved with a project focused on an online portal application for a federal government agency.
--Perform development, testing and implementation activities, including systems applications development and technical management of web sites to support client needs.
--Monitor the functionality, security and integrity of the Internet services; provide troubleshooting on and resolve technical issues with the design and delivery of the Internet services; collect and analyze Internet service usage and performance statistics and evaluate new Internet services and technologies.
--Resolve and provide troubleshooting on specific and complex issues encountered in the creation and continual support of various web sites.
--Develop new methods and criteria for documenting and implementing web applications.
--Evaluate, design, develop, provide troubleshooting on, test, debug and implement web applications utilizing current technologies, including JavaScript, Ajax, Web Services, etc.
--Analyze and translate client requirements into web design steps, web page formats and file and directory structures.
--Determine the process for organizing web pages and the procedures for organizing and obtaining the required information.
--Work with other staff members to fine tune data structures in order to support the information and decision systems.

Required Skills:
--5-7 years of experience in web application development using Java/J2EE.
--Experience in JSP/Servlets, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, Weblogic application servers and HTML.
--Experience in relational databases, including Oracle and SQL Server.
--Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
--Bachelor's degree.
--Flexible and detail oriented individual with solid skills in communication and organization.
--Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Skills:
--Experience in the Rational tool suite.
--Experience in Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) process implementation and adherence.
--Experience in Agile and iterative software development methodologies.
--Experience in complying with the best practices and guidelines for selecting, developing and implementing information systems within an enterprise environment.
--Experience in developing and maintaining build processes for code promotion between the test, cycle and production environments.
--Ability to work closely with the project managers, system architects and other Developers to avoid redundancies, minimize expenditures and improve the overall synergy within the organization.

6-month contract-to-hire positions with 40+ hours per week required. NOTE: We are only able to consider U.S. Citizens for these openings.
