As a Java Developer/Lead Programmer you will need to have at least 4 years Java Development experience with a range of Java related technologies including Java J2EE, Web application development experience, Swing, Eclipse, SOAP, XML, Subversion and Tomcat. You will also have experience of acting as a Lead Programmer on projects. You will have hands-on experience of software development throughout the whole software development lifecycle.
Key requirements for the Java Developer/Lead Developer are;
- Educated to degree level or similar.
- 3-5 years as a Java Developer or equivalent
- Experience of mentoring
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Hands-on experience of Java software development throughout the whole software development lifecycle.
- Experience of formal design techniques including Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Tiered Architectures and Design Patterns.
- The ability to make decisions on software solutions to improve performance and maintainability.
- Experience of Microsoft Project and developing plans.
- Experience of writing papers and proposals.
- Experience of different testing phases and techniques (Integration, Acceptance, Unit, etc).
