Introduction: Montash Associates have been engaged by one of the most prestigious banking organisations in the world, to assist in the expansion of a high profile team of Java developers. This team will work on a new part of the system included within the securities lending suite of platforms.
The Organisation: One of the world’s biggest brands, a Tier One Investment Bank with a very positive reputation.
The Team: The successful candidate will join a team responsible for assistance with user / technical requirements, design, development, implementation and support of the global securities lending systems.
The Project: The Equity IT group is looking to hire highly motivated experienced Java Developers and Development Lead to play a key part in the expansion and integration of the Equity Treasury / Collateral Management business globally.
The Role: The main duties of the role are Technical Design, Architecture, Development, and participating in the full system development lifecycle and deploy new applications, perform maintenance and enhancements to existing applications, and support of new and existing applications.
The Technology:
- Strong Java, Hibernate, JBOSS, and ideally Swing - all essential
- Strong knowledge of J2EE, Spring, JMS and XML.
- Good knowledge Web Sphere MQ and Tibco EMS.
- Knowledge of Mule ESB
- Proficient at UNIX Solaris/Linux and MS Windows. UNIX Shell and Perl. Scripting.
- Good knowledge of Sybase and ANSI SQL or Transact-SQL ISQL, BCP, SQL queries and Stored Procedures.
- Object oriented design and programming as well being at least familiar with design patterns with a pre-requisite.
- Full System Development Lifecycle
- Design components of new or existing Stock Lending applications.
- Implement, test and deploy new/existing applications.
- Perform maintenance and enhancements to existing applications
- Support of new and existing applications
- Candidates should note that this list is not exhaustive and duties are liable to change from time to time in line with the needs of the department.
- Good understanding of full software life cycle development process
- Ideally experience of working in financial markets with knowledge in some or all PB supported products especially Stock Lending or Collateral management
- Good computer science degree or similar.
The Package: This bank are looking to attract the best developers from their competitors, as a result they won’t be beaten on total comp. A base of up to £120,000 plus a very good discretionary bonus mean that only the best need apply.
