Java Development Lead – Wealth Management (Hong Kong) recruitment
Our client is a leading global financial institution that is designing, developing and deploying a new wealth management platform globally and they require a number of Java Development Leads to manage the teams of developers.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Managing the team of developers including offshore developers ensuring delivery of the new wealth management platform.
- Getting involved with all stages of the project life cycle from business requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing and deployment.
- Co-ordinate with business users and IT teams to ensure that applications are built according to requirements and then deployed.
- Working with senior development managers and global teams, especially offshore developers to ensure deliverable meet quality standards and project deadlines.
Requirements of the role:
- 10+ years technology background with a proven development background of large scale enterprise applications.
- Must have banking sector experience from wealth management, private banking or asset management areas.
- Previous 5+ years managing development teams of 5-10 developers and experience with offshore developers would be highly beneficial.
- Good understanding of Java/ J2EE, WebSphere Application Server, Hibernate and Spring
- Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese (ideally also able to speak Mandarin)
