A leading global financial trading provider is looking for a Senior UI Technologist to embark on a new flagship enterprise application. The successful candidate will embark on an exciting project building a next generation search platform. A chance to work in a fast paced agile environment using Scrum and Test Driven Technology. A high level of responsibility reporting into the Project managers being involved in building a user friendly and cutting edge applications for other end users. A chance to work with new and niche cutting edge technologies and to build an application that will be used globally within the financial domain.  

Requirements/ Responsibilities for Senior Java UI Technologist- New York

• Strong OO design and Java coding skills

• Extensive UI experience

• Has experience building large-scale applications using JavaScript, JSON, and AJAX

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced agile environment using Scrum and Test Driven            Development

• Expert in developing efficient AJAX interfaces with in-depth knowledge of available AJAX libraries and frameworks

• JQuery experience

• Strong scripting skills- particularly in JavaScript

• Experience translating design mockups and prototypes into working application designs

The ideal candidate will be passionate about application design and user-experience and takes personal pride in building user friendly and cutting edge applications for other end users. The candidate will be highly proficient in Java UI and data driven with a quantitative mentality. The candidate must come from a graduate background; preferably with a degree in Computer Science or related field. A fast moving exciting project that will build applications for the use of financial trading firms globally, the candidate must be enthusiastic and able to work in a challenging environment with the motivation to progress quickly.
