Java J2EE - Spring, Hibernate, EJB's FIX - Senior Developer
Java 6, J2EE, EJB's, JPA, AJAX, Spring MVC, Spring Hibernate.
Harrington Starr is working Global brokerage firm and we are looking for a Senior Core Java 6 (J2EE) Developer with extensive Server side experience to join their Development team, based in Liverpool Street, London City. This is well established brokerage that has been trading for well over 50 years who offer an online trading platform which covers various products like FX, Credit, Equity, Commodities, and Fixed Income.
As the Senior Core Java 6 (J2EE) Developer you will join a team which will be working on Servers for Exchange systems. The role has a keen focus on the server side development. These applications are run with several server s over multiple machines so experience in distributed systems would be highly advantageous. Using heavy spring frameworks to configure the systems and also use a service layer to access database through Hibernate. You will be working directly for the business so it will interact heavily with end users. You will interact with clients, Senior BA's and Senior PM's so strong written and clear communication skills will be essential. You will be involved in design and development of applications used by their clients. A good understanding of Object Oriented and design would also be advantageous. (Java 6, J2EE, EJB's, JPA, AJAX, Spring MVC, Spring Hibernate)
The successful candidate will have the following skills set:
* Extensive Java programming covering J2EE,
* Extensive knowledge of Spring Frameworks
* Extensive knowledge of Hibernate technologies.
* Design and Development using Core Java 6
* Extensive relational database experience. SQL, Oracle, Sybase.
* Extensive Server side development experience.
* Strong interpersonal skills with written and verbal communication.

This is a very Senior Core Java 6 Developer role which has a keen focus on Server side development, distributed systems, exchange systems, trading systems and Market Data systems. You will be working with a market leader producing some of the best systems within Financial Services Technology.
