Java Mobile App Developer
Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Java Mobile App Developer to join our high profile client.
Our client has been recently reported as one of the best online gambling businesses in the world. They are bleeding edge in terms of technology and bleeding edge in terms of their products even currently moving into automated betting similar to trading houses.
The role sits in the mobile apps team and has the potential to develop into a Native Development role in the future. This role is working on a new application to sit next to the current product set my client has, this team has been specifically picked to work on this greenfield problem.
The Java Mobile Developer will perform analysis, development and testing as a part of an Agile team that delivers mobile web applications into production environments. The chosen candidate will function as part of the Mobile Development team and will report directly to the Team Lead and Mobile Product Owner.
Responsibilities:
- Prototyping
- Implementing mathematical models for products and business processes
- Developing and enhancing in house applications
- Participate in the full development lifecycle
Candidates MUST have:
- 1 to 4 years commercial experience
- Strong Java (J2SE/J2EE)
- Mobile web development experience
- Understanding of the Mobile paradigm and working within the restraints of a mobile device and its environment
- Spring
- Hibernate
- GWT
- MySQL
- Ideally Maven
- Experience across the full SDLC
- Advocate of Agile engineering principles (TDD etc.)
- Strong understanding of Software Engineering and Computer Science
- Strong OO design skills, including good knowledge of design patterns
- Actively interested in new developments in the industry
