Job Description Java Programmer (Job Number:300090) Description: The Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit currently has an opening for a Java Programmer. JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidate will participate in a team environment in the development of several modules supporting a large logistics software system. The candidate should have at least 5 years experience and possess expertise in Java EE Development, Oracle PL/SQL Database programming, Web service technologies including SOAP, XML, JAX-WS and Web development experience (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX). The candidate should have the ability to present solutions to problems to the client. The candidate will contribute to the development of deliverables and performance metrics for the program without a great deal of oversight. Knowledge of Apache Tapestry 5, Hibernate, Apache Tomcat and IBM 3270 emulation or IBM IMS is critical to candidate success. Other desirable skills include: ? Java Server Faces (JSF) ? Java Server Pages (JSP) ? Wicket ? Seam ? Google Web Toolkit (GWT) ? Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies such as iBATIS, Apache Cayenne, JDO or JPA. ? Java EE servers such as JBoss, Glassfish, Websphere, Weblogic, or Jetty ? Network layer programming using sockets, HTTP, TCP/IP Experience with these tools would be helpful: ? Perl ? Subversion or CVS ? NetBeans or Eclipse ? Microsoft IIS 7 ? Windows Server 2003/2008 Qualifications: Candidate will demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work under general direction within a team environment. The ability to be focused, work in a demanding environment, and under tight deadlines is essential.
