Java Programmer – New Treasury Trading Desk recruitment

The Opportunity:
You will be one of a number of experienced hires being made to help build and drive a new Treasury Funding Desk. The software will be supporting a number of key functions; providing an instant view for the desk of exposure and risk associated with stocks held and existing funds from other financial institutions, the flow and processing of various trade adjustments, optimising and connecting to existing trading desks - Stock Loan.
The ideal candidate will have worked in the Prime, Stock Loan, Collateral Management space before and have knowledge of Tri Party Agents. However technical knowledge and ability is absolutely critical. My client has to be 100% confident in your expertise as a programmer, with end to end delivery experience and the ability to work very closely with the Front Office, end users and other IT teams, ensuring high quality software is being delivered. The tech stack is Java, Hibernate and Oracle/SQL. This would be the ideal skill set, Swing or C# is highly desirable. As a programmer you need to be adaptable and flexible in your approach. There is also an opportunity to be able to take more Architectural / Tech Leadership role for the right candidate. This would suit someone who is sharp and instinctively asks questions, scratches the surface of issues as opposed to taking direction from others. The position will be very high visibility as it is a key program for this Investment Bank.
