A Java senior architect / product owner is sought by this tier 1 investment bank to drive the development of this major finance IT project and roll out across the bank.

As Java senior architect / product owner you report directly the global project director and be responsible for ensuring this system is properly architected, design and developed by the development team. This role comes with a wide remit and a mandate to instigate change across the business area, you will have the full backing of the Technology senior management.

The challenge is implement a greenfield global PL and balance sheet reporting system within Finance IT across the entire bank’s global reach. This is the highiest profile project going on within this bank and has a ring fenced budget. An aggressive set of deliverables have been set and it is up to the development manager / product owner to ensure these are hit.

You will be specialized in architecting and designing optimized SOA applications for performance and reliability of a distributed middleware platform based on Java, Oracle Coherence and TIBCO Business Events rule engines.

Any knowledge of Finance IT will be a great advantage for this opportunity but ultimately the hiring manager was someone with the technical skill and people management skill to ensure this project is delivered.
