Description:
Lionbridge is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to provide leadership and coordination between our onshore and offshore development teams and client development team on a variety of development projects. Work with our teams to develop high quality software that demonstrates reliability, maintainability, and scalability. This position will be responsible for software in all layers of the application including user interfaces, business logic, and data access. In concert with the product, quality, and support teams take responsibility for solving business problems from idea inception to production.
Responsibilities will include:
* Leadership and coordination between the onshore and offshore development teams
* Design, develop, debug, and deploy new and/or complex features and functions
* Enhancements and maintenance of existing capabilities.
* Design, specify, and implement systems using applicable technologies.
* Fix problems noticed during testing
* Participate and deliver code and test results for review as required
* Follow configuration management plans
* Participate in integration/module testing
* Ensures highest level of technical quality, security, scalability, interoperability and stability in all products that are developed.
Minimum Requirements:
* Proven experience leading and coordinating activities between onshore and offshore teams
* Five or more years' experience in programming enterprise-class applications using Java Enterprise Edition / EJB3 and SQL
* Ability to work in an Agile environment and experienced and knowledgeable in the specified technologies
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and requirements and design/develop these requirements into technical solutions
* Knowledge of applicable technology environments, infrastructures and at least 3 development languages
* Solid knowledge of security and middleware protocols
* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
Experience with any of the following technologies a plus:
* JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
* Hibernate
* Seam/JSF/RichFaces
* Experience with CSS, Javascript, DHTML, Ajax
* JSP/JSTL
* Drools/JBoss Rules
* XML
* Struts Web Services
* Flex

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
