POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge - Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Has technical knowledge in software development practices, programming languages and development techniques.
SKILLS:
Java, HTTP, HTML/XHTML, XML/XSLT, Javascript, AJAX, CSS. Exp in relational database design and development (MS SQL/Oracle/DB2), developing applications in MVC web technologies, Spring, and Eclipse

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3years experience with Java technologies.
  • Experience implementing web services using Java and Java-related technologies.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts (MS SQL, Oracle and/or DB2).
  • Preference given to those having experience with open source technologies such as Spring, Spring MVC, JMS.
  • Some experience with AJAX, jQuery and JavaScript.
  • Healthcare IT industry knowledge is a plus, particularly HIPPA, X12 transactions and HL7 transactions.
  • Use of integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
  • Use of source control management tools such as Subversion.
  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
  • Uses applicable programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of application.
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
    Creates and updates specifications detailing system design and enhancements to meet software requirements.
  • Participates in researching, identifying, evaluating and developing supporting software systems.
    May participate in development teams to address business or systems issues.
  • May interact with internal and external customers to evaluate product functional requirements and user experience.
  • Participates in and supports process improvement activities within the department and company-wide.
  • Education;
    Bachelor in related field or significant industry experience. Certification in applicable technology is desirable.
