Position Description:
SunGard AvantGard Payments is a trusted partner for corporations allowing them to manage their corporate banking transactions in an efficient way, using state of the art technology. AvantGard TRAX is the flagship product for the processing of payments and account reporting messages. It's a highly adaptive corporate banking transaction system able to integrate seamlessly with existing cash management and ERP back-office infrastructures.
The successful candidate will be part of the RD team developing the Trax J2EE payments application. You will be involved from requirements gathering through to the delivery of product releases, and as such will work closely together with Product Management and QA in a SCRUM development environment.
Key Duties:
- Participate in all phases of the development and release cycle.
- Work closely with Product Management and QA to ensure effective coordination during the development process.
- Actively participate in the relevant SCRUM meetings.
- Develop new and enhance existing features for the product.
- Develop automated testing (unit and integration test) and participate (and automate) functional testing.
- Rotate in 2nd line support and bug fixing assignments.
- Support Professional Servicesduring the implementation process.
Position Requirements:
• Some experience in J2EE development.
• Experience with continuous integration tools and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, strong initiative, flexible and good time management skills.
• Enthusiastic, team-building attitude, good communication skills,
• Willing to work in/build an Agile environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives within assigned time.
Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written. Any additional language would be a distinct advantage, ideally Dutch / Flemish and French.
Willing to be flexible and adapt to customer needs (internal and external).
