(This is the perfect role for an excellent Java Developer with some support experience or a L3 Java support guru who can cut excellent code. Banking experience is not necessary so this could be a fantastic first step into the finance sector)
This tier one investment bank is looking for a Java developer/support analyst to come and join their team within liquidity and payments. This is a hybrid role and the Java developer will be responsible for 40% 3rd line Java support and 60% Java development.
The team are building a Greenfield liquidity and payments platform using Java technologies. They are a very agile team that follow TDD and paired programming methodologies. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Java technologist to take ownership of a platform and work in a senior and autonomous position.
The Java developer must be a solid developer in their own right but also have experience of 3rd line support. Alternatively, you could be a Java support analyst that cuts excellent code. The support is crucial and will mainly involve reviewing and modifying other member’s Java code so you must have an excellent understanding of Java along with fantastic communication skills. Experience of Spring technologies, messaging and Tomcat/Apache are essential.
