The client:-
My client is a global leading asset manager and are considered one of the key players in Fixed Income products. Expansion in 2011 and further investment in their Front Office IT space now means that they require a leading Java Swing Tech Lead to drive the business forward. The candidate will have to feel comfortable in a client/stakeholder facing position as they will have regular contact traders and the business. They will support the candidate and will provide scope to drive the technology space forward in conjunction with the business and add have a true say on the direction of the space moving into 2013
Responsibilities Java Swing Tech Lead – Front Office IT – New York
(Java, Swing, J2EE, Webstart, Oracle PL/SQL, Web services, JMS and EJB , JDBC, UI, JIDE , vEvent, Ant, Maven, GWT, Hudson, Lead, Front Office, Fixed Income)
- Coordinate the high level design of solutions
- To delivering complete front to back solution for Front Office IT.
- Build out complete and robust trading applications
- Mentoring training other team members on both Java Swing and also the Framework and tools they development to reduce development time and code

- Demonstrated commercial experience designing and developing robust Java Swing applications
- Client-focused – ability to connect and partner with technology colleagues within a financial environment
- In-depth understanding of the challenges in developing high-throughput, low-latency trading systems
