JAVA Systems Analyst Job in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada

Keane currently seeks a JAVA Systems Analyst to join our team in Halifax, Canada.

The JAVA Systems Analyst will work closely with the business and technology team on the development of a J2EE application to ensure it will meet the expecation of the product. Responsibities include: Help with solution design; Create technical specifications; Requirements gathering; Use case, flowcharting creation.

- 8+ years experience in application development
- 4+ years web application development experience in Java/J2EE
- Worked on an development team through at least 2 major development cycles
- Ability to work closely with teammates to solve problems, transfer knowledge, and develop overall product architecture
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex business processes.
- Demonstrated success operating in a number of roles that include project leader, architect, and developer.
- Commitment to the highest levels of quality and demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.
- Project experience with J2EE based Web Applications.
- Be familiar with multiple Agile methodologies
- Have good problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of all aspects of applications and software components lifecycle.
- Knowledge of technologies and trends such as RSS/Atom, AJAX very desirable
