Java Team Lead – Investment Banking – Greenfield recruitment
This tier one investment bank are looking for a Lead Java Developer (Core Java) to come and head up a brand new Java development team that will be working on a completely Greenfield project. The Java team will sit within Equity Derivatives – experience in this area would be nice to have – and will be constantly facing off to the business.
The Java Lead will be responsible for gathering requirements from the business and users and then designing the application, which will be built in Core Java. The Java Lead and their team will take care of the front to back development, building the server and an internal GUI as well as an external web front-end that will be used by their clients. There are no BAs or QAs so the Java Team Lead will have to wear a lot of hats in this role.
The team will operate according to agile methodologies so the Java Team Lead must have experience of TDD and continuous integration or be passionate about working in this kind of environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an excellent Java Developer to lead a team working on a business critical and Greenfield project.
The successful Java Team Lead must be an expert in Core Java and other open source technologies and messaging tools. You must be an expert or an agile enthusiast and have the ability to operate as the middleman between the business and the technical so excellent communication skills are essential.
