The Front-End Technology Development Group is responsible for creating new as well as migrating legacy Web, PC and Mobile Application User interfaces utilizing the latest technologies and user experience methodologies. This worldwide team will be responsible for product design, development and delivery of both applications and underlying UI frameworks. The team will play an integral part of the overall customer experience and thus interact with product management, customers and business analysts to provide innovative products that make their customers both productive and excited about using their services.

These applications are often used by clients for hours a day- they are fundamental tools that their clients need to do their jobs. Usability, efficiency, intuitive design and speed are critical to the success of their franchise.
Their Agile development team is looking for a Senior Java Developer to help create their feature-rich, Java based products utilizing the latest tools and technologies. In this critical role you will become part of a motivated and talented team operating within a creative environment, working closely with their UX team. You should have a passion for writing and designing the server and client side of cutting edge web and desktop applications.
Leaders in their group are expected to lead by example, be effective mentors, and the highest contributors on the team. As a champion for a robust Software Development Life Cycle you’ll be leading your team through the complete process of building sprint plan content, architecture and design, automated unit testing, code reviews, and delivery and support.
Key Skills Needed
- Significant Java Front End and Server Side development experience with:
- Java
- Oracle
- SOA
- Common UI design patterns
- Object Oriented Principles
Skills Required:
- Java, JPA / Hibernate, Swing, Spring Framework
- Complete understanding and experience with MVP and MVC
- Expert HTML and CSS skills and knowledge
- Web Service (REST) experience
- JUnit (or Selenium) experience a plus
- At least 10 - 15 years of Development
- Understanding of Internationalization/Localization and Accessibility issues
- Agile development experience is a plus
- Prior experience working with JavaScript and HTML5
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent work experience)
